About www.classicscramble.com

This website was written and is maintained by Andy (who also takes most of the photographs) with lots of input and inspiration from Jim, and also Michele.

In 2004, Jim resumed his career in scrambling after a 28 year break. To keep him company, help out with technical problems and make coffee, Andy and Michele became his sidekicks at the meetings (Michele also came in useful as an emergency car driver – sorry about the ticket!).

Andy was always a keen photographer so, during that first season, took lots of photos (mainly of Jim). He was aware that perhaps other people might like to see these too but at the busy scrambles meetings, there wasn’t the opportunity to show them. Andy also enjoyed home computing and was interested in web design so, when he became unemployed, he had the time and opportunity to work on a web site mainly to display his photos.

As this project was being developed, it became obvious that a website could be a useful resource for SCRMC (scrambles section) and it’s members - to inform them of events and news, to keep members up to date with results, to give access to entry forms and of course to have photos of all the riders - the rest is history.

Thanks also to Richard, Creena and John for technical help and providing written content.
And John Bethell for inspiration above and beyond the call of duty.
